Our dog is 11 years old, very peppy still, but with teeth that are going bad fast. The vet says we should extract some of her teeth, but she does not appear to be bothered by her dental woes. What would you do?

I would ration my food intake and clothing, and being friend with people.
We had to do this also. Our dog was in a lot of pain. After 5 teeth were removed she could eat without pain.

I love dog, how much would you paid to have ur teeth taken out to saved u ?
She could get infection and die. Try second opinion first
If the dog is in pain, I would do what was necessary to make him feel better. If he's not in pain and he's healthy, I think I would put it off a bit and see how things work out. It's hard to believe pulling a tooth can be so expensive. Get a second opinion.
If the dog is not bothered by it, wait until they are. I'm with Jeannette & Alwaysmidnight though, when you're ready to do something, get some estimates.
I would say wait until he's in pain.
Just spent 700 but for a 10 year old cat.
It is a duties to take care of good friend , that is a dog.
